Growing up in South Dakota, I wanted to make a living as a musician. After graduating with a degree in Music Performance, I spent time reaching that dream performing in professional orchestras like the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and South Dakota Symphony, as well as freelancing in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
I have always had a passion for technology. At an early age I built websites for video games and assembled computers for my neighbors. After moving to Seattle, I began my transition from musician to software developer at an early startup where I have had a tremendous opportunity to work in many different areas including data operations, web performance and app development.
Having been along the journey from a startup to public company has been an incredible ride, and I continue to love building products with software most recently empowering users and fellow developers with AI and Large Language Models.
As a strong believer in open source software I enjoy teaching others and sharing as much knowledge as I can about my experiences. In the upcoming years, I am looking forward to spending more time traveling and finding new ways to connect with a larger audience, whether it is music or technology.
